Children are a gift from the Lord. As a community of faith, we take seriously our responsibility to partner together with families in order to raise children who love the Lord and are eager to serve God’s purposes in the world.
Infants through age 2: Nursery care is always available for infants through age 2. We have an excellent nursery staff who create a safe and loving environment for all.
The Adventure of Faith Just as the name “Village Presbyterian Church” expresses our hope of creating a place of community for all, we want our children to know that they are included in that “village” too!
We call our time with kids on Sundays “Adventure Village” because learning about God and God’s Word is always an adventure! As we are learning, we are building relationships and partnering with parents to help even our youngest children to understand the good news of the gospel and their place in the body of Christ.
Children three and older are encouraged to participate in worship together as a family. We want our children to feel at home in worship and be confident about their place in the community of faith. Christian education must always seek to be age-appropriate and so, after a time of worship, children are invited to come forward for a Children’s Moment. After this brief lesson, all children are lead by helpers and teachers to Adventure Village.
We currently offer three Adventure Village classes: one for younger students (ages 3 to 5) and one for early elementary students (K through 2nd grade), and one for older students (3rd grade and up).
Monday Funday: A fun gathering for students is 3rd grade and up. We meet on Monday afternoons for a time of games, music, Bible study and dinner. We meet for six week sessions so feel free to call the church office at (949) 481-9520 to find our when our next session begins.
Vacation Bible School: The week of VBS is always a highlight of the summer. We spend a week of fun fellowship together learning about God’s word though daily lessons, crafts, songs and games.
